Community Support
We’ve long believed in supporting worthwhile causes, activities and charitable organizations in the communities where we do business. We feel it is important to give back to our communities as one way of saying “thank you” for all of the support they have given us by doing business with us over the years. We would also support these activities and organizations even if we weren’t doing business in the local communities where they reside as we genuinely believe in what they do and the good they achieve.
In addition, there are countless smaller community activities we support. We can’t mention them all here, but here is a brief list of organizations we’ve supported in substantial or regular donations of some or all of the following: time, money, furniture, mattress sets, reupholstery and shop labor.
ICARE - Inyo County Animal Resources & Education
http://www.icareforpets.org/
We love to support the annual dinner fundraiser and auction with a valuable mattress set or piece of furniture they can auction to raise money for their annual operating budget.
Home Street Middle School Library

At Principal Randy Cook’s request, we provided furniture for the library revitalization project.

Each year we are proud to provide a unique piece of furniture for the Mammoth Hospital’s Festival of Trees fundraiser auction.
Big Pine High School
Donation of a La-Z-Boy® reclining chair for a school fund raiser.
California-Hawaii Elks Association – Major Project Therapy & Treatment for Disabled Children
http://www.chea-elks.org/
Every three to five years we reupholster the large mats the therapist and children use for their rehabilitative exercises in the Bishop, CA program.
Bishop Mural Society
Although the current status of the Bishop Mural Society as an organization is uncertain, we actively donated time and money to various mural projects on downtown buildings in Bishop. Everyone involved in these beautiful murals is very proud of them and Bishop has become well-known for its rich variety of historical murals. We also donated the upper portion of the north end of our building for a mural depicting the “Slim Princess” narrow gauge steam train arriving at Laws Station north of Bishop. In fact, we paid the full cost of this expensive mural thereby saving the Bishop Mural Society a substantial expense. See the “Slim Princess” mural below.

Bishop Country Club
http://www.bishopcountryclub.com/
We regularly provide auction items such as La-Z-Boy® reclining chairs to the Bishop Country Club including the Men’s and Women’s clubs for their fundraisers.
